Texas Tech defensive lineman/linebacker Pete Robertson was named to the preseason watch list for the Rotary Lombardi Award, which honors the nation's top down linemen.
In addition to the Lombardi Award, Robertson has been selected as a candidate for three other national defensive player of the year awards including the Butkus Award, Bronko Nagurski Trophy and the Chuck Bednarik Award.
Robertson is easily the best player on a Red Raider defense that will have to deal with high-powered offenses such as Baylor and TCU in 2015.
