Looking for a spark from a struggling offense, Cardinals manager Mike Matheny moved Randal Grichuk from the eight-hole Tuesday to the two-hole on Wednesday and was rewarded with a first-class performance.

Grichuk came through with a run-scoring double that hit off the top of the wall in the sixth inning, and then he hit the game-winning home run in the top of the 13th inning to give St. Louis a 4-3 win over the Cincinnati Reds.

Grichuk played 47 games for the Cardinals last season, hitting .245 with three home runs. The outfielder now has 13 blasts in 75 games in 2015.
