OXNARD, Calif. (AP) -- Joseph Randle went into training camp as the front-runner to replace NFL rushing champion DeMarco Murray for the Cowboys. Now his two primary challengers aren't on the field because of injuries.

Oft-injured Darren McFadden missed the first week of camp with a strained hamstring that still has him sidelined, and Lance Dunbar is being evaluated for a right ankle sprain that's likely to keep him out of Thursday's workout. Dunbar was injured a day earlier.

Executive vice president of personnel Stephen Jones says it's still too early to consider bringing in more candidates, although that could change depending on the severity of Dunbar's injury.

The other two backs in camp, Lache Seastrunk and rookie Gus Johnson, have never played in an NFL game.
