The UFC's return to Dublin on October 24 now has a main event as lightweight contender Dustin Poirier will meet local favorite Joseph Duffy in the five round headliner from Ireland.

Duffy made the announcement on Irish television early Wednesday morning.

Poirier will look for his third straight win since moving back up to the lightweight division following a long run as a 145 pounder in the UFC.

Since moving up in weight, Poirier has picked up two victories by TKO with both fights ending inside the first round.

As for Duffy, he will headline a UFC card in just his third fight overall with the promotion after debuting earlier this year.

Duffy is considered a top prospect in the lightweight division and currently stands as the last fighter to defeat current UFC interim champion Conor McGregor.

The new five round main event will headline the UFC Fight Night card from Dublin with more bouts expected to be announced in the coming weeks.
