Out since late June with a groin strain, Garcia pitched the first five innings of a combined no-hitter for Low-A Peoria on Thursday night. It was cleared to return to the rotation after the one rehab start.

Cardinals general manager John Mozeliak confirmed Garcia's start on KMOX on Sunday.

Garcia has faced multiple setbacks due to injury, but when he's healthy with injuries have been a near-constant throughout his career, but he has always posted good numbers when healthy. In seven starts this season, Garcia, 29, is 3-3 with a 1.69 ERA and 0.88 WHIP
