Nick Castellanos hit his first career grand slam on Wednesday, and it meant more than any other home run he's ht in his young career.

The Tigers third baseman struggled through most of the first half and found himself in need of a mental break in late-June, hoping to reboot his game. So he took a break, deciding to sit for a few games. And it worked.

"It was kind of a reset button," Castellanos told MLB.com, "How about, 'I'm just going to up there and see the ball and put the big part of the bat to the baseball?' It's been working.'"

Before his "mental break," Castellanos was hitting .217 with four homers, 26 RBIs and a .594 OPS in 67 games. Since hitting the reset button, he's batting .333 (28-for-84) with 17 RBI.
