Tela, Honduras (SportsNetwork.com) - Felipe Velazquez closed with a 3-under 69 on Sunday to win the inaugural Honduras Open by two strokes.

Velazquez finished at 21-under-par 267 at Indura Golf Resort. This was his first victory on the PGA Tour Latinoamerica.

The Venezuelan stumbled out of the gate with a bogey at the first. Velazquez came right back with a birdie on No. 2. He ran off 10 consecutive pars from the third.

Velazquez, who led by one entering the final round, birdied three of the last six holes - 13, 16 and 18 - to earn the title.

Brady Watt carded a 2-under 70 and ended alone in second place at minus-19. Bryan Bigley (71) took third at 18-under-par 270.

Augusto Nunez (65), Rafael Campos (69) and Adam Schenk (70) shared fourth place at minus-17.
