Houston, TX (SportsNetwork.com) - The Houston Astros placed right- handed starter Scott Feldman on the 15-day disabled list after he underwent knee surgery Friday morning.

Feldman tore his right medial meniscus fielding a ground ball in Tuesday's start against Baltimore, but he ended up recording a win with one run allowed in six innings.

For the season, the 32-year-old starter has a 4-4 record with a 4.80 ERA over 60 innings in 10 starts for the Astros.

To take his place on the roster, Houston recalled right-handed pitcher Michael Feliz from Double-A Corpus Christi. The 21-year-old struck out seven and allowed a run in four innings in his only appearance for Corpus Christi after starting the season with Single-A Lancaster.
