(SportsNetwork.com) - The San Francisco Giants are in line for a series win when they conclude a four-game set against the Colorado Rockies Sunday at Coors Field.

The Giants and Rockies split a doubleheader on Saturday.

San Francisco won the first game 10-8, but had its eight-game winning streak stopped with a 5-3 setback in the nightcap. Yusmeiro Petit made the start for the Giants and was tagged for four runs and seven hits in six innings.

Gregor Blanco went 2-for-4 with a run scored and Norichika Aoki knocked in a run for the Giants, who are two games behind the Los Angeles Dodgers for the NL West lead.

"It was a good run," Giants manager Bruce Bochy said of the win streak.

The defending World Series champions will visit the Milwaukee Brewers next for three games and are slated to send veteran right-hander Tim Hudson to the Coors Field mound Sunday afternoon.

Hudson is 2-3 with a 4.01 ERA in eight starts and is coming off a 2-0 win over the rival Dodgers on Tuesday, when he fired 6 1/3 scoreless innings. Hudson is 0-1 in two starts against the Rockies this season and 5-3 with a 4.26 ERA in 17 career starts in this series.

Colorado received a two-run homer and three RBI from Daniel Descalso, while Michael McKenry and Brandon Barnes finished with two hits and a run scored apiece. Barnes and Ben Paulsen each had an RBI for the Rockies, who are 3-4 on an eight-game homestand.

David Hale earned the win and made a case to stay in the rotation, allowing three runs (2 earned) and eight hits in 6 2/3 innings. John Axford later nailed down his sixth save.

"He gave us a huge boost. Great performance by David," Rockies manager Walt Weiss said afterward.

The Rockies will next visit the Cincinnati Reds and Philadelphia Phillies on a six-game trek and hope Chad Bettis can pitch them to victory Sunday. Bettis has no record and a 5.73 earned run average in two starts and has faced the Giants five times (1 start) in his career, going 0-2 with a 6.55 ERA.

Colorado is 5-3 against San Francisco this season.
