Montreal, QC (SportsNetwork.com) - The Montreal Impact face a tough test at Saputo Stadium on Saturday as the club goes for a second straight win against the top side in MLS, FC Dallas.

After starting the season on a five-game winless streak, the Impact broke out in a big way last weekend, notching a 4-1 victory over Real Salt Lake behind two goals from Andres Romero.

After the disappointing start to the league season and a crushing defeat in the second leg of the CONCACAF Champions League final, the Impact needed a positive result, and got one with a big first half that the saw the team net three goals in 11 first-half minutes.

"We're relieved. It's normal. We've gone through many emotions lately, but we wanted this win. It was a good performance, a complete one," said assistant coach Mauro Biello, who handled the bench coaching duties in place of the suspended Frank Klopas.

"We talked about being a team and everybody working for their teammates. If were able to work as a team like that, we see results. We saw that people have great qualities, but when we work together and were ready to battle on the field, were going to get the results."

Getting another three points will be tough against a Dallas side that is riding a five-game unbeaten streak and currently sits atop MLS with the most points in the league.

Much of FCD's success during the current unbeaten streak belongs to the defense, which hasn't yielded more than a goal in any of the team's last four outings, including a 0-0 draw against Red Bull New York.

"It was a very well-played game tactically by both teams," FCD forward Blas Perez said. "There were very few chances on each side - clear chances. The times that we had the ball at our feet, we didn't have the quality that we usually have when we go forward with the ball at our feet."

Dallas was a bit wasteful in front of goal against the Red Bulls, but the club should get some decent looks at goal against the Impact.

Montreal is also attempting to collect its first-ever win against FC Dallas after going 0-2-1 against the Texas side in three all-time meetings.
