Atlanta, GA (SportsNetwork.com) - Atlanta Hawks forward DeMarre Carroll suffered a left knee injury in the fourth quarter of Wednesday night's loss to Cleveland in Game 1 of the Eastern Conference finals.

Carroll was driving to the basket when his left leg buckled awkwardly as he planted to jump.

He remained on the floor for several minutes under the basket and did not put any weight on his left leg as he was helped off the court and back to the locker room.

Hawks head coach Mike Budenholzer said the initial diagnosis was a left knee sprain but that the team will know more after Carroll has an MRI on Thursday.
