Alameda, CA (SportsNetwork.com) - The Oakland Raiders announced Thursday the signing of wideout Amari Cooper, the club's first-round draft selection.

Oakland took Cooper with the fourth overall pick in last week's draft out of Alabama.

Cooper racked up 1,727 yards and 16 touchdowns along with 124 receptions in his senior campaign, earning him the SEC offensive player of the year, the Biletnikoff Award as the nation's top receiver and a third-place finish in the voting for the Heisman Trophy.

The native of Miami departs Tuscaloosa having totaled program records of 228 catches, 3,463 yards and 31 TDs over three seasons.
