Milwaukee, WI (SportsNetwork.com) - The Milwaukee Brewers activated second baseman Scooter Gennett from the 15-day disabled list on Tuesday.

Gennett had been sidelined by a shower mishap. He sliced his left hand open on a shower rack at Pittsburgh's PNC Park following the Brewers' 5-2 loss on April 19. Five stitches were needed to close the wound at the base of his middle finger.

The Brewers optioned outfielder Logan Schafer to Triple-A Colorado Springs to make room on the roster for Gennett, who was batting .207 with one RBI prior to the DL stint.
