Boston, MA (SportsNetwork.com) - Boston Red Sox left fielder Hanley Ramirez left Monday night's game against Tampa Bay with a sprained left shoulder after running into a padded wall in foul territory.

Ramirez crashed into the wall after chasing down James Loney's slicing fly ball near the left-field line. He initially made the catch but dropped the ball after the collision and winced before going to retrieve it.

Loney ended up with a double on the play and Ramirez was replaced in the field by Allen Craig.

Ramirez, who was signed last November, entered Monday in second place in the majors with 10 home runs.

The Rays won the game 5-1.
