Sandy, UT (SportsNetwork.com) - The San Jose Earthquakes settle for one point as Victor Bernardez's own goal gave Real Salt Lake a 1-1 tie at Rio Tinto Stadium.

San Jose came into the match looking to take three points and forget about the 2-0 loss to the Red Bulls last Friday. Real Salt Lake was also looking to rebound from a tough loss to New England 4-0 on Saturday.

San Jose got on the board first when Chris Wondolowski took a deflected shot and beat goalkeeper Nick Rimando to put the Quakes up 1-0 in the 19th minute.

As for Real Salt Lake their best opportunity of the half came in the 22nd minute when lvaro Saborio's header from the center of the box missed just right of the goal.

In the 71 minute Bernardez ran back to play the ball back to the Quakes goalkeeper David Bingham but he chipped it over his head and into the back of the net to tie the game 1-1.

San Jose had a chance in added time when J.J Koval's header just missed the top left corner. This would conclude the game.
