Jacksonville, FL (SportsNetwork.com) - The Jacksonville Jaguars and middle linebacker Paul Posluszny agreed to a contract extension on Thursday.

Posluszny, 30, is now signed through the 2017 season. He signed a six-year, $45 million contract with the Jaguars in 2011 after spending the first four years of his career with the Buffalo Bills.

The Penn State product played seven games last season before suffering a season-ending pectoral muscle injury. He had missed only one game in his first three years with the Jaguars.

Posluszny had a streak of six consecutive seasons with at least 110 tackles from 2008-2013.
