(SportsNetwork.com) - Cleveland Browns quarterback Johnny Manziel has been released from a treatment facility after more than two months, according to multiple reports.

Manziel is expected to attend offseason workouts beginning on April 20, ESPN reported Saturday.

The former Heisman Trophy winner entered the undisclosed rehab facility on Jan. 28, a month after the end of Cleveland's season.

Manziel, 22, had a rough rookie season after being drafted 22nd overall last year by the Browns, drawing criticism for his poor play and for his behavior on and off the field.

"Johnny knows there are areas he needs to improve on to help him be a better family member, friend and teammate, so he decided to take this step in his life during the offseason," Manziel advisor Brad Beckworth said after the quarterback entered treatment.

Manziel appeared in five games for the Browns, starting two late in the season. He overslept the day before the last game against Baltimore and was fined.

In his debut as a starter in a Week 15 game against Cincinnati, Manziel threw for just 80 yards and was intercepted twice and sacked three times in a 30-0 loss.

The former Texas A&M star was back on the field the following week against Carolina and was 3-for-8 for 32 yards before exiting late in the first half with a hamstring injury that kept him out of the final game of the season.
