Houston, TX (SportsNetwork.com) - Feliciano Lopez and Kevin Anderson were each second-round winners Wednesday at the U.S. Men's Clay Court Championship.
The top-seeded Lopez rolled to a 6-3, 6-3 decision against Sam Groth at River Oaks Country Club.
Lopez will face eighth-seeded American Sam Querrey in the quarterfinals. The 2010 runner-up at this event dispatched fellow countryman Steve Johnson 6-1, 4-6, 6-0.
Anderson, the 6-foot-8 No. 3 seed, popped eight aces before overcoming Federico Delbonis 6-7 (4-7), 6-0, 6-3.
Up next for Anderson will be seventh-seeded Frenchman Jeremy Chardy, who subdued Japan's Go Soeda 6-3, 6-3 on Day 3.
