Oakland, CA (SportsNetwork.com) - The Oakland Athletics have agreed to terms with outfielder Cody Ross on an undisclosed contract.

Ross was with Arizona this spring and batted .256 with six RBI in 16 games before he was released April 4. He was in the final year of a three-year contract that included a club option for 2016.

The 34-year-old batted .252 with two home runs and 15 RBI in just 83 games with the Diamondbacks last year, which included a pair of stints on the disabled list. He ranked fourth in the majors with a .357 batting average as a pinch hitter in 2014 and hit .337 over his final 47 games.

Ross is a .263 career hitter with 132 home runs and 505 RBI in 1,064 games over 11 seasons with Detroit, the Dodgers, Cincinnati, Florida, San Francisco, Boston and Arizona.
