New York, NY (SportsNetwork.com) - Chicago Fire striker Shaun Maloney was named MLS Player of the Week for the fifth week of the 2015 season.

Maloney bagged his first career MLS goal and assist in Chicago's 3-2 comeback win over Toronto FC at Toyota Park on Saturday.

The former Celtic man helped the Fire take the lead in the 14th minute, laying a nifty backheel into the path of Joevin Jones, who fired home the opener.

Chicago fell behind, but Maloney equalized in the second half by taking a pass from Harry Shipp, cutting inside from the left flank and firing a shot through traffic and past Joe Bendik.

Jeff Larentowicz went on to grab the winner in the 68th minute, but Maloney's display was instrumental in providing Chicago the platform to grab a second straight win.
