Minneapolis, MN (SportsNetwork.com) - Trevor Booker had 17 points and 13 rebounds as the Utah Jazz defeated the Minnesota Timberwolves 104-84 on Monday night.

Gordon Hayward netted 22 points to go with six boards, five assists and four steals, while Rudy Gobert added 15 points and 12 rebounds for Utah, which has won two straight on the heels of a four-game losing streak.

"What defines these next eight games is find out how we can improve," Jazz coach Quin Snyder said.

Zach LaVine posted 21 points and six assists for the Wolves, who have dropped four in a row.

"We let them just do pretty much what they wanted to do," Minnesota coach Flip Saunders said.

The Jazz seized control during the latter stages of the second quarter and early moments of the third with an extended 25-4 run.

Utah, which led 25-18 following a quarter of play, was up 50-40 at the break. Hayward netted nine points during the surge, which was capped on a Booker dunk for a 64-40 advantage.

The Jazz took a healthy 81-57 cushion into the fourth, where they cruised to the easy victory.
