Lake Buena Vista, FL (SportsNetwork.com) - Veteran John Buck announced his retirement Thursday.

Buck, an All-Star with Toronto in 2010, was in spring training camp with the Atlanta Braves. The Braves said Buck wanted to spend more time with his family.

The 34-year-old journeyman played for seven teams in 11 big league seasons, finishing his career with 134 home runs, 491 RBI and a .234 batting average.

Buck broke into the majors with Kansas City in 2004, then went to Toronto as a free agent in 2010. He had his lone All-Star season that year and had career bests of 20 homers with 66 RBI and a .281 batting average.

The Marlins signed Buck as a free agent for the 2011 season and he spent two seasons in Florida before bouncing around the last two years with the Mets, Pirates, Mariners and Angels. He played just 32 games in 2014 with the Mariners and Angels.
