Genoa, Italy (SportsNetwork.com) - Sampdoria has agreed to a deal with Ajax captain Niklas Moisander that will see the Finland international join the Italian side this summer.
The 29-year-old joined Ajax in 2003 but failed to break into the first team before moving on to spells with Zwolle and AZ Alkmaar, where he won an Eredivisie title in 2009.
Moisander returned to Ajax in August 2012 and captured two more league titles with the Amsterdam side.
He has made over 70 appearances for the club since returning, but he will move to Sampdoria on a three-year contract that begins June 30.
