Knoxville, TN (SportsNetwork.com) - Stasha Carey recorded a double-double with 16 points and 13 rebounds, as the 10th-seeded Pittsburgh Panthers notched a 51-40 win over the No. 7 seed Chattanooga Mocs in the first round of the NCAA Women's Tournament at Thompson-Boling Arena.

Brianna Kiesel added 13 points in the victory. Pittsburgh (20-11), which was picked to finish last in the ACC preseason poll, will now face the winner between No. 2 seed Tennessee and No. 15 seed Boise State in the second round of the Spokane Region Monday night.

Jasmine Joyner tallied 10 points and nine rebounds for the Mocs (29-4), who saw their 25-game win streak come to a screeching halt.

The Mocs last tasted defeat back on Dec. 1 but never led in the contest, as they shot a season-low 26.2 percent from the field and attempted only three free throws for the game.

The score was tied 33-33 with 12 minutes remaining in regulation, but Pitt then went on a 9-0 run to pull away.

Chattanooga lost its eighth straight NCAA Tournament game since beating Rutgers in the first round of the 2004 tourney.
