Eindhoven, Netherlands (SportsNetwork.com) - PSV Eindhoven maintained its 11- point lead atop the Eredivisie on Sunday as Nicolas Isimat Marin scored in the 66th minute to hand his side a 2-1 home victory over Groningen.

Georginio Wijnaldum's goal after 11 minutes put PSV in front, but after Luuk de Jong failed to convert from the penalty spot midway through the opening half, Groningen equalized through Eric Botteghin just before the break.

Marin then popped up with the winner in the 66th minute to keep his side 11 points clear of second-place Ajax.

Wijnaldum got things started in the 11th minute when he played a one-two with De Jong and curled a shot into the bottom corner of the net after taking the return pass.

De Jong won a penalty kick in the 27th and had the chance to double his team's lead from the spot, but his effort was weakly struck and easily parried by goalkeeper Sergio Padt.

Botteghin headed home the equalizer from a corner kick a few minutes before the break, and Groningen started well in the second half but was unable to capitalize.

Marin then hooked a shot into the corner of the net in the 66th to restore PSV's advantage, while the hosts had a handful of chances to add to their lead over the final 20 minutes as De Jong, Wijnaldum and Memphis Depay each had good looks at goal.

Ajax kept pace with the leaders as Arkadiusz Milik scored twice in a 4-1 win for the Amsterdam outfit at Heerenveen.

Second-half goals from Denni Avdic and Iiass Bel Hassani propelled Heracles to a 3-1 win over Den Haag and Feyenoord escaped Dordrecht with a 2-1 win thanks to a stoppage-time winner from Anass Achahbar.
