Fayetteville, AR (SportsNetwork.com) - Keith Hornsby hit a 3-pointer at the buzzer to send LSU to an 81-78 win over No. 18 Arkansas on Saturday.

Before Hornsby hit the winning shot, LSU's Jarell Martin had a key block at the other end to keep the game tied. Josh Gray then penetrated and kicked out to Hornsby in the corner for the winning jumper.

"They're a good basketball team," said Arkansas coach Mike Anderson. "They made shots, and they made plays when they needed to."

Martin led all scorers with 27 points for the Tigers (22-9, 11-7 SEC). Jalyn Patterson scored 20 while hitting six 3-pointers and Gray had 10 points and six assists.

Bobby Portis led Arkansas (24-7, 13-5) with 21 points and 15 rebounds.

The buzzer-beater spoiled Senior Day for the Razorbacks. The team's two seniors, Rashad Madden and Alandise Harris, scored 12 and 10 points, respectively.

An 8-0 run for Arkansas late in the second half gave them a 73-70 lead. Tim Quarterman briefly tied the game with a 3-pointer, but Anthlon Bell answered with one at the other end to restore the Razorbacks' lead with 2:16 left.

Harris' free throws with 1:17 remaining put Arkansas ahead 78-75, but it would not score again. Patterson's 3 tied the game before Martin's block started the winning sequence.

The Tigers used a 14-0 run in the first half to build an early 27-15 lead. Aaron Epps scored the last five points with a 3 and layup on back-to-back possessions.

Portis' 3-point play on the ensuing possession ended the LSU surge and a Razorbacks' scoring drought that lasted nearly six minutes.

Arkansas pulled within one late in the half, but the Tigers led 41-35 at the break after finishing the period on an 8-3 spurt.
