Ovechkin ruled out vs. Wild

Washington, DC (SportsNetwork.com) - Washington Capitals star forward Alex Ovechkin will not play in Thursday night's game against the Minnesota Wild due to a lower-body injury.

Ovechkin, who has scored four times in Washington's last two games, leads the league in both goals (43) and points (67).

The 29-year-old captain is listed as day-to-day.
