Columbus, OH (SportsNetwork.com) - Recently acquired forward David Clarkson will be sidelined 4-to-6 weeks with a torn oblique muscle, the Columbus Blue Jackets announced Wednesday.

Clarkson suffered the injury in Tuesday's 5-3 home loss to the Washington Capitals, his third game with the Blue Jackets following last week's trade from the Toronto Maple Leafs.

A former 30-goal scorer, Clarkson had just 10 goals and five assists in 58 games for the Maple Leafs this season.
