Montreal, QC (SportsNetwork.com) - The Montreal Canadiens have acquired defenseman Jeff Petry from the Edmonton Oilers in exchange for a pair of picks in the 2015 draft.

The Oilers will receive a second-round choice and a conditional fifth-round selection, which the Canadiens had previously acquired from Colorado.

Petry has four goals and 11 assists for 15 points in 59 games this season, his fifth in the NHL. The Oilers selected Petry in the second round of the 2006 draft.

The 27-year-old Michigan native has 17 goals and 57 assists for 74 points in 295 NHL games.
