Rangers get Sheppard from San Jose

New York, NY (SportsNetwork.com) - The New York Rangers acquired forward James Sheppard from the San Jose Sharks on Sunday.

San Jose will receive New York's fourth-round pick in the 2016 draft for Sheppard, who had five goals and 11 assists in 57 games with the Sharks this season.

Over 380 games with Minnesota and San Jose, he has totaled 21 goals and 68 assists.
