Uniondale, NY (SportsNetwork.com) - Vancouver Canucks goaltender Ryan Miller exited during the second period of Sunday's 4-0 win against the New York Islanders with an apparent lower-body injury and did not return.

Miller, who signed a three-year contract with the Canucks during the offseason, was injured after Vancouver forward Jannik Hansen slid into the net and collided with the veteran netminder.

The former Vezina Trophy winner stayed down momentarily, but gingerly skated off the ice under his own power and was replaced by backup Eddie Lack.

Miller stopped all 10 shots he faced.
