Boston, MA (SportsNetwork.com) - The Boston Red Sox signed left-handed pitcher Wade Miley to a three-year contract extension on Thursday with a club option for 2018.

The deal is worth $19.25 million, according to a tweet by O'Connell Sports, the agency that represents Miley.

Miley, 28, was acquired from the Arizona Diamondbacks in an offseason trade that sent right-handed pitchers Rubby De La Rosa and Allen Webster and infielder Raymel Flores to Arizona.

In four seasons with the Diamondbacks, Miley owns a 38-35 record in 106 games (102 starts) totaling 638 2/3 innings with a 3.79 ERA. He was an All-Star in 2012 and finished second to Bryce Harper in Rookie of the Year voting.
