Cortina D'Ampezzo, Italy (SportsNetwork.com) - American skier Lindsey Vonn set a record Monday with her 63rd career World Cup victory.

Vonn won the super-G event in Cortina, posting a margin of .85 seconds over Austrian Anna Fenninger.

The 63 World Cup wins eclipsed the previous record of 62 set by Austria's Annemarie Moser-Proell between 1970-80.

"It's amazing," said Vonn afterward. "Words can't describe my feeling. Sixty- three feels incredible. I'm really proud of what I've done and I'm excited about the future."

Vonn's 63rd victory came in her 333rd start. Moser-Proell had 62 wins in 174 starts.
