New York, NY (SportsNetwork.com) - Boston Bruins forward Brad Marchand was suspended two games without pay by the National Hockey League on Friday.

The suspension stems from a slew-footing incident against New York Rangers forward Derick Brassard on Thursday.

The play in question occurred at 14:30 of the second period. Marchand was not assessed a penalty at the time.

Marchand will lose $48,387.10 and the money will go to the Players' Emergency Assistance Fund.
