Madison, WI (SportsNetwork.com) - Wisconsin point guard Traevon Jackson suffered a fractured right foot on Sunday and is set to undergo surgery.

Jackson was injured during Wisconsin's shocking loss to Rutgers, its first in conference play and second of the season. The Badgers were also without preseason All-American Frank Kaminsky because of a concussion for that game, though the 7-footer is expected to be cleared going forward.

Jackson was instrumental in Wisconsin's run to the Final Four in 2014. The senior and three-year starter is averaging 9.4 points and 2.9 assists in his final season in Madison.

"I know my teammates will come together and be stronger because of this," said Jackson. "I'm looking forward to coming back mentally stronger than ever."

The son of former Ohio State star and 14-year NBA wing Jim Jackson will have surgery on Thursday and is expected to begin rehab in 2-to-3 weeks.
