Seattle, WA (SportsNetwork.com) - Washington linebacker Shaq Thompson declared for the 2015 NFL Draft on Monday.

Thompson captured the 2014 Paul Hornung Award for his versatility as an all- purpose player.

The California native registered 81 tackles and scored four defensive touchdowns during his junior season. He added 456 yards rushing and two touchdowns on offense.

"Shaq Thompson has been a wonderful representative of the University of Washington and the Husky football team, and he has our full support as he takes this important step," coach Chris Petersen said in a statement. "I look forward to what's to come for him and to watching him embark on what will be a long, successful NFL career."
