Guimaraes, Portugal (SportsNetwork.com) - Andre Andre fired home a trio of goals on Sunday as Guimaraes smashed Nacional, 4-0, at the Estadio Dom Afonso Henriques.

Coming off consecutive losses to Estoril and Sporting Lisbon in league play and the Portuguese Cup in which the club was outscored 3-0, Ricardo Gomes got Guimaraes off to a good start in front of the home fans when he opened the scoring after 27 minutes.

Four minutes later Andre got his first of the day with a penalty kick conversion and added his second goal of the match in the 36th minute.

He then completed his hat trick with nine minutes to play, and to make things worse for Nacional, Nuno Sequeira was shown a second yellow card and dismissed from play in the 89th minute as Guimaraes rolled to claim all three points.

The result lifts Guimaraes into third place in the table with 31 points, while Nacional remains in 14th place on 12 points.

Also in Portugal on Sunday, Ze Manuel, Brito and Michael Uchebo all scored to lift Boavista to a 3-1 win over Arouca, while Dimitrios Pelkas' 76th-minute tally was the difference in Setubal's 2-1 win over Moreirense.

Finally on Sunday, Benfica claimed its seventh consecutive win in league play with a comfortable 3-0 rout of Penafiel thanks to goals from Anderson Talisca, Jonas and Jardel.

On Saturday, five different players found the back of the net as 10-man FC Porto rolled to a 5-1 thrashing of 10-man Gil Vicente, while Adrien Silva scored on either side of the break as Sporting Lisbon claimed a 3-0 victory over Estoril.

Rio Ave claimed three points thanks to a 2-1 win over Pacos Ferreira, while Moussa Maazou and Bruno Gallo found the back of the net to help Maritimo earn a 2-1 win over Braga.

On Friday, Belenenses and Academica played to a scoreless draw.
