Dundee, Scotland (SportsNetwork.com) - Celtic stumbled once again in Scottish Premier League play as the club was held to a 0-0 home draw by Ross County on Saturday.

The Hoops entered the match on the back of a 2-1 loss to Dundee United and were unable to grab a goal in Saturday's fixture at Parkhead, leaving the hosts scoreless for just the third time in a league match this season.

Despite the draw, Celtic still managed to gain ground at the top of the table as second-place Dundee United suffered a 2-1 loss at St. Johnstone on Saturday.

The visitors had taken the lead three minutes before halftime through Calum Butcher, but Michael O'Halloran and Chris Millar produced a goal apiece inside the final 15 minutes to drop United five points back of Celtic.

Fourth-place Hamilton also fell off Celtic's pace as the club was handed a 1-0 loss by Kilmarnock with Alexei Eremenko netting the lone goal.

John Sutton converted a 14th-minute penalty as Motherwell downed Partick Thistle, 1-0, on Saturday and Kenny McLean produced a brace in St. Mirren's 3-1 victory at Dundee FC.
