Santa Clara, CA (SportsNetwork.com) - The San Francisco 49ers have placed offensive lineman Alex Boone and safety Bubba Ventrone on injured reserve.

Boone played in 15 games (14 starts) this season. The Ohio State product has appeared in 64 games (46 starts) during his career with the 49ers.

Ventrone saw action in eight games this year. The special teams ace has played in 97 career games with the Patriots, Browns and 49ers.

San Francisco also signed wide receiver Trindon Holliday to a two-year contract and promoted cornerback Cameron Fuller to the active roster from the practice squad.
