Niners' Bethea suffers concussion

Santa Clara, CA (SportsNetwork.com) - San Francisco 49ers safety Antoine Bethea suffered a concussion in Sunday's preseason game against Denver.

Bethea was hurt during the second quarter of the 34-0 loss. He was able to walk off the field under his own power.

The 49ers signed Bethea in March. He spent his first eight NFL seasons with the Indianapolis Colts and has been a starter since his rookie campaign of 2006.
