Rex Ryan is unapologetic for the New York Jets' aggressive approach in their preseason victory over the Cincinnati Bengals, and wants them to remain physical.

The Jets were called for 12 penalties, including a whopping six personal fouls, in a 25-17 win Saturday night. Another personal foul penalty was declined. Ryan says Monday the Jets need to be smart and understand "how far we can take it."

He adds that his team went into that game with a "certain mentality" and refused to be "a punching bag" against the Bengals.

Ryan acknowledges that penalties are not good and he'd like the Jets to be the league's least-penalized team. But he adds that he also wants his team to be one of the NFL's most aggressive squads.
