Klofta, Norway (SportsNetwork.com) - Benjamin Hebert fired a final-round, even-par 72 as he held on to win the Norwegian Challenge by two shots on Sunday.
Hebert, who earned his fourth win on the European Challenge Tour and first in three years, finished his week at 15-under 273 and he was able to hold off Florian Fritsch by two strokes at Miklagard Golf Course.
It appeared as if Hebert was going to run away early when he poured in birdies at the first and fourth holes to move to minus-2 on the final day. He gave one of those shots back with a bogey at No. 5, but Hebert responded quickly with another gain at No. 6.
After finishing up his front nine with three straight pars, Hebert made the turn and added another par at No. 10. Hebert then made a mess of the par-4 11th hole and had to settle for a double-bogey, which put him back to even-par for the day.
Bogeys at 12 and 14 hurt Hebert even more, but he came up huge down the stretch. A birdie at No. 16 had Hebert 1-over for the round, and needing just a par to earn a victory on 18, he rolled in a birdie to claim his fourth career title on tour.
Fritsch carded a 1-under, final-round 71 to finish alone in second place at 13-under 275, while Cyril Bouniol (69) ended in third at minus-12.
Wallace Booth (69), Mark Tullo (70) and Andreas Harto (71) finished tied for fourth at 10-under and ended five shots back of Hebert.
