Munich, Germany (SportsNetwork.com) - Bayern Munich added goalkeeper Pepe Reina from Liverpool on Friday, completing the move with the Spain international signing a three-year contract.

The deal ends Reina's nine-year stay in Liverpool, where he made 394 appearances and captured the FA Cup, League Cup and UEFA Super Cup.

Reina spent last season on loan with Napoli after Liverpool signed goalkeeper Simon Mignolet to take over as the first-choice option. And now he will likely serve as the second choice behind starter Manuel Neuer, who helped Germany capture the World Cup in Brazil this summer.

Bayern boss Pep Guardiola has made four signings this summer, with Reina joining Robert Lewandowski, Sebastian Rode and Juan Bernat as new arrivals at the Allianz Arena.

The defending Bundesliga champions open their league campaign on Aug. 22 against Wolfsburg.
