Moore drops 40 as Lynx edge Shock

Tulsa, OK (SportsNetwork.com) - Maya Moore scored a game-high 40 points and the Minnesota Lynx held on to beat the Tulsa Shock, 84-75.

Moore was 14-of-22 from the floor, 4-of-7 from beyond the arc and a perfect 8- of-8 from the free throw line. She also tallied five rebounds and five assists.

The forward scored 30 or more points for the 11th time this season, which is the most in WNBA history.

Seimone Augustus added 22 points, five rebounds and four assists for the Lynx, who extended their winning streak to nine games.

Odyssey Sims led the Shock with 25 points and Glory Johnson racked up 17 points and 10 rebounds in Tulsa's ninth loss in 12 games.

The Shock nearly went into halftime up by two after taking their first lead of the game, but Moore knocked down a three with twelve seconds left to put Minnesota up 33-32 at the break.

The game stayed close through the third and fourth quarters and the Shock tied it up at 69-69 just under 5 1/2 minutes to go. Moore's 3-point jump shot with 5:09 left started a 15-6 run, however, that the Lynx took to the finish for the win.
