St. Louis, MO (SportsNetwork.com) - The Chicago Cubs activated pitcher Felix Doubront off the 15-day disabled list Saturday.

Doubront had been sidelined with a left calf strain since joining the Cubs in a late July trade from Boston. The lefty was scheduled to start the opener of Saturday's doubleheader against St. Louis after making three rehab starts.

Before the trade, Doubront was 2-4 with a 6.07 ERA in 17 games, including 10 starts, for the Red Sox.

The Cubs also kept pitcher Zac Rosscup on the roster as the 26th man for the twinbill. Rosscup had been optioned to the minors after Friday's game.
