Cleveland, OH (SportsNetwork.com) - The Cleveland Indians have recalled pitcher Zach McAllister from Triple-A Columbus to start Saturday's game against the Chicago White Sox.

McAllister will be filling in for an injured Justin Masterson, placed on the 15-day disabled list earlier in the week due to inflammation in his right knee.

A nine-game winner for Cleveland last season, McAllister began 2014 in the Indians' rotation before landing on the DL in late May. The 26-year-old right- hander was then sent to the minors a month later after completing a rehab assignment.

McAllister posted a 5.89 earned run average along with a 3-4 record in 10 starts prior to going on the DL. He went 5-0 with a 2.23 ERA, however, in six outings at Columbus.

Vinnie Pestano was optioned to the Clippers in a corresponding move. The reliever was 0-1 with a 5.00 ERA in 13 appearances for the Indians this season.
