Lafayette, LA (SportsNetwork.com) - Ole Miss is headed back to the College World Series for the first time in 42 years after beating Louisiana-Lafayette, 10-4, on Monday.
The Rebels won the best-of-three Super Regional series, 2-1. They will next play Virginia in Omaha.
Ole Miss, which kept its season alive with Sunday's 5-2 win, grabbed a 3-1 lead in the fourth inning on home runs by Austin Anderson and Sikes Orvis.
The Ragin' Cajuns fell behind 5-3 after pulling even in the bottom of the third and nearly tied the game again, but Caleb Adams was thrown out at the plate to end the seventh with the Rebels up by a run.
A Braxton Lee sacrifice fly made it 6-4 in the eighth before Ole Miss put the game away with a four-run ninth.
