WASHINGTON – Coach Vicente del Bosque says defending World Cup champion Spain will include Diego Costa in the roster to face El Salvador on Saturday, in their last tuneup game before heading to Brazil.
Del Bosque said at a news conference Friday that he will include players that did not have a lot of action during the previous week of training, which included a 2-0 victory against Bolivia on May 30th in Seville.
Spain plays its Group B opener against the Netherlands on June 13 in Salvador, then takes on Chile and Australia.
