V. Stiviano, the associate of former Los Angeles Clippers owner Donald Sterling, was assaulted by two men in New York City Sunday evening, her lawyer claimed.
Mac Nehoray told Radar Online that Stiviano was attacked by two white men after she left a restaurant in the city's Meatpacking District.
They began to hit her and called her the n-word," Nehoray said. "Other disgusting slurs were made against her. She was able to run away and several onlookers then began attempting to apprehend the two men."
A bouncer at the nearby Hotel Gansevoort told the New York Daily News that Stiviano was caught in the middle of a brawl that had broken out in front of the hotel. The guard said that Stiviano's role in the fight was not clear, but added "fists were thrown."
Nehoray told the Daily News that Stiviano was punched on the right side of her face several times. He told Radar Online that though she would make a full recovery, her face was "extremely red." Nehoray added that Stiviano had not yet filed a police report.
In April, a recording Stiviano made of the octogenarian Sterling making racist remarks was leaked to the website TMZ. The ensuing furor prompted the NBA to ban Sterling from the league for life. Last week, it was announced that former Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer had agreed to purchase the team for $2 billion.
Over the weekend, TMZ posted a recording of Stiviano allegedly making disparaging remarks about black people as part of a reality show pilot filmed in 2011.
