For the first time in a while the Boston Bruins will have to think about whether major changes are needed in the offseason.

Despite a regular season in which they led the NHL with 117 points, the defending Eastern Conference champions have been eliminated from the playoffs in the second round. The Montreal Canadiens beat the Bruins 3-1 in Game 7 in Boston on Wednesday night to advance to the conference finals.

Now the Bruins have to figure out if major moves are necessary to make another run at the Stanley Cup. That's after a run of two trips to the Stanley Cup finals in three years.
